Now there’s nothing to do but to leave. But because the station gets crowded it may be better to spend some time in one of the surrounding chanko nabe (sumo style stew) restaurants talking about the match or looking at the pictures on your digi-cam.

The sound of the drums on the tower made the day even more memorable.

This was my very first time to watch a sumo match, but I think it was really worth seeing.
All the crashing battles of the rikishi who are twice as much bigger than myself, the fierce defense and offense at the ring rim, the ritual performances respectable and solemn were very impressive.
If you get a chance to visit Tokyo in January, May or September, do come see a real sumo match.
