HISTORY
This building of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office stands in the middle of Shinjuku sub-Metropolitan area. Built in 1991, this 243-meter-high skyscraper was then the tallest building in Japan. The observatories on the top floors of the twin building are open to the public for free, and many people visit the observatories to have a panoramic view of the city.
