Access: Take the Yokosuka line from Tokyo or Shinagawa, getting off at
either Kamakura or Kita Kamakura station. If time permits, make a side trip
to Enoshima via the Enoden line, then return to Shinjuku by way of the
Odakyu.

HISTORY
Kamakura was once the political and cultural capital of the Shogunate, from
1192 to 1333. It boasts a heritage comparable with that of Kyoto and Nara.
You can experience the charm of many ancient temples and shrines, including
the famous Great Buddha statue. It can be reached by train in 30min. from
Yokohama.
