What's it like?
The Japan branch of the world’s top movie theme park born from the Hollywood films. As well as show entertainment, the park features exciting attractions and thrilling coasters letting the visitors escape into the world of movie fantasy for one full day. USJ has recently gone through a major refurbishment commemorating its fifth anniversary, and now contains the new zone “Land of Oz” with two new and great attractions. If you’re around in Osaka, this is one spot that you might want to spend a day at.

Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (Kyoto Studio Park)
What's it like?
If USJ is a movie theme park for Hollywood films, Toei Eigamura is a movie park for Japanese films. This entertainment spot located in the birthplace of Japanese films welcomes visitors with the widespread outdoor sets of samurai dramas where sometimes real shootings for TV shows and films are being carried out. The true excitement and specialty of this park is perhaps the fact that visitors can actually view the shootings right there on the spot (Shooting schedules can be checked on the official web site and through phone).
Toei Uzumasa Eigamura offers a great variety of amusement to visitors, from samurai show events, a traditional Japanese haunted house tour (admission Y500), other attractions to dressing up like maiko and princess for the day (fee Y8,500 and up). During summer breaks, New Year’s and tourist seasons (spring and autumn) there will be special seasonal events as well.

Suzuka Circuit  
What's it like?
An amusement complex spreading as wide as 2.05 million square meters around the worldwide known racing circuit, International Suzuka Circuit (now part of Mobilityland) provides fascination from kids to grown-ups with its amusement park Motopia, swimming pool, spa complex Kur Garden, campground and more. What’s more exciting, you can drive the real course on a circuit car. The park is so full of fun that you cannot fully enjoy the complex even if you had an entire day. Within the complex there are several types of accommodation and restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines.

EDO WONDERLAND ISE – Ise Azuchi-Momoyama Bunkamura
What's it like?
As you set one foot inside the entrance gate, you will find yourself in Japan during Azuchi-Momoyama to Edo (16-19C). Spreading around the full-scale recreation of Azuchi Castle is the historical townscape with merchant and warrior houses as well as theaters where you can enjoy end experience ninja action shows, oiran shows and gimmicks. The Azuchi Castle experience theater on the top of the hill is made as a six-story observatory and gives you a magnificent view looking out across the Ise Bay.

What's it like?
EXPOLAND is located in an area within Banpaku Koen, the former site of where the Osaka Expo was held back in 1970. This is where you can ride the world’s longest coaster (2340m) Daidarasaurus along with the inverted coaster Orochi, the 20-people-water ride Splash Hole and many other thrilling rides.
Little kids who can’t go on the rides can also have great fun in the park – there is a wide area with grass and Wanpaku Tengoku Orochiland, a space filled in with sand together with Kiddy Plaza where there are about 10 kinds of attractions for small children.
Many parts of the .2 miilion square meter wide park are rich in green and spacious areas where visitors can relax as much as they can play.

Nagashima Resort
What's it like?
Nagashima Resort, a huge tourist complex is consisted of the leisure land Nagashima Spa Land, outlet mall Jazz Dream Nagashima, natural outdoor hot springs Yuami no Shima, flower theme park Nabana no Sato and luxurious hotels and Japanese style hotels including Hotel Hanamizuki. Although rather unimaginable from the name spa land, Nagashima Spa Land is an amusement park with dozens of killer rides and is said to be as thrilling as Fujikyu Highland in Kanto. With the jumbo swimming pool opening up during the summer, the resort becomes a perfect leisure facility as it can be.
